The B-58, as my cousin from the Air Force calls it, was flown by handpicked elite bomber squadrons. The whole was budgeted at about $3B due to the fact that maintaining this aircraft required special crews. Flying one of this required 3 people, which is quite difficult. But performance-wise, nothing bad can be said about it except for its sonic boom issues.
